Clean Sweep
Of Rhythmic Gymnastics By Cyprus
LIMASSOL,

Cyprus
amassed 11 medals, including 5 gold and 5 silver in a
clear sweep of the Rhythmic Gymnastics event at the XIII
Games of the Small States of Europe.
The Trikomiti sisters stole the show on
the day. Loukia won three gold medals and one silver
while Chrystalleni took home one gold and one silver.
Good appearance by Katerina Chrystodoulou who won two
silver medal.
In the rope, Loukia Trikomiti took the
gold, Katerina Chrystodoulou won silver and Elisa
Cavalli of San Marino won bronze.
In the Hoop, Loukia Trikomiti climbed on
the top of the podium and was followed by Katerina
Chrystodoulou who took silver and Sofia Travesset
Cortesao from Andorra who won bronze.
In the Ball, Loukia Trikomiti won another
gold, with her sister Chrystalleni winning silver. The
bronze medals went to the hands of Giada Valle Della
from San Marino.
Finally, in the Ribbon the gold medal
went to Chrystalleni Trikomiti, the silver to Loukia
Trikomiti and the bronze to Giada Valle Della of San
Marino.
In the end of the medal ceremony, a
special award was given to Sofia Travesset Cortesao of
Andorra in honor of her great presence in the sport.
In the Individual All Around, Cyprus took
all three medals. Loukia Trikomiti won gold with 73,534
points, the silver medal went to Chrystalleni Trikomiti
with 71,925 and the bronze to Katerina Chrystodoulou
with 71,717 points.
