Approaches A Tense Finale
LIMASSOL,

Following a string of upsets in the sailing event in
Limassol, the third and final day of the event promises
to bring an exciting closure.
In the
menʼs laser event, Cyprusʼ Pavlos Kontides maintained
first with two Monaco sailing athletes, Emmanuel Sanchez
and Damien Lerale, in pursuit.
In the
womenʼs laser radial event, Natasa Christodoulou of
Cyprus also kept pole position despite yesterday
finishing first only once. Maya Podesta of Malta is
currently giving chase in second place whilst Cyprusʼ
Elena Ioannou is third.
In the
womenʼs optimist event, Monacoʼs Marina Prat, who won
three races on Thursday, moved into first place in the
standings overtaking Maria Sarri of Cyprus whilst in
third place is another Cypriot, Evdokia Kyriakidou.
In the
menʼs optimist event, Maltaʼs Τhomas Tabonas continues
his steady course in first place with Monacoʼs Massimo
Mazzolini and Edouard Franconeri snapping at his heels
in second and third place respectively.
