Shialou
Goes Down In History Books
NICOSIA,
4 June 2009 - Antroula Shialou wrote her own special
page in the history books on Thursday, 4th of June at
the National Track and Field centre in Nicosia. She
became the first athlete to participate at both the III
and XIII Games of the Small States of Europe. The
athlete, who had the honour to light the Games flame at
the Opening Ceremony, easily won the 400m hurdles event
with a time of 59.99.
