Medals Claimed In Gymnastics
NICOSIA,
3 June 2009 - Ten event finals were included in
Wednesdays’ (03/06) gymnastics schedule in the XIII
Games of the Small States of Europe at the ‘Spyros
Kyprianou’ Sports Centre. Cyprus claimed its share of
medals – 6 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze. An outcome that
put the hosts up at the top of the medal rankings.
Aristotelous, and
Georgos Georgiou each claimed a gold medal and two
silver while, world champion, Irodotos Georgallas came
first on the parallel bars.
Iceland claimed 2 gold
medals, 3 silver and 2 bronze. Luxembourg claimed 2 gold
medals and 2 bronze and Monaco secured 1 silver and 2
bronze medals.
