Luxembourg Triumphant in Basketball

- Andorra has claimed its second victory in men’s
basketball in the XII Games of the Small States of
Europe.
It
beat Malta with relative ease with 82-62, proving that
it has a strong chance of securing a medal and a place
on the podium. Casals was the fist player to score for
Andorra with 13 points and was followed by Galera and
Marin who scored an additional 13 points. Malta stood
its ground for the first ten minutes of the match but
soon after the points difference increased considerably
and despite the commendable effort of Steve and Dirk
Schembri, who scored 19 and 16 points, Malta claimed
victory.
Ten-minute-times: 25-15, 45-30, 63-40, 82-62.
In the
second match on Wednesday June 3 Luxembourg claimed
victory over San Marino with 94-61. Luxembourg had no
trouble beating their opponents with a 68 percentage
rate in two point shots and the 23 points scored buy
Larrie Smith.
The
first player to score for San Marino was Stefano Rossini
with 20 points.
