from the usual anxieties facing the Cypriot athletes
taking part in the Games of the Small States of Europe,
some of the younger athletes have been given the added
worry of needing to study for their school, college and
university examinations.
One such problem almost proved too much for swimming
athlete Anna Schoholeva who almost had to pull out of
the games because they clashed with her GCE exams.
Fortunately, a solution was found and the Cypriot
swimmer was given another date to take her exam.
Schoholeva will be in action in this afternoon’s final.
